Friendos is an app dreamed up and developed by Grant Eadie. It’s not complicated, literally just Instagram from 2012. The main function is just sharing pictures onto your profile, which then shows up on your friend’s feeds.
No numbers of any kind (followers, likes, comments), no algorithm (you can only see the most recent stuff, and you’ll only see your friends), no stories, and of course no discovery (you only see your friends).
The idea is to sort of defang the social media experience, remove all the elements that turn it into a dopamine casino, and instead provide its original purpose: a place to share your life with the people that you love.
